Chia-Ti Chiu_Lineage_Project


Chia-Ti has over fifteen years of experience teaching yoga, nutrition, visual arts, and spoken word/poetry to teens in public high school, foster care, and detention centers. In addition to teaching Lineage classes for incarcerated youth, she co-leads Lineage’s professional trainings, and develops programming and curriculum. Chia-Ti is inspired to see students using the concrete tools of mindfulness to cope with stress, anger, and challenging life circumstances.

Outside her work with Lineage, Chia-Ti leads domestic and international retreats through her business onelovewellness. She also teaches yoga and meditation to elders and adults in community settings, and is on faculty with the Garrison Institute's Contemplative-Based Resiliency Project, which brings mindfulness practices to humanitarian aid workers around the world. Chia-Ti runs an annual yoga and arts program in Haiti, and raises funds to send Haitian children to school. She is a certified yoga teacher through the Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana in Bangalore, India, and a Holistic Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
