DANIELA COLAIANNI POE
PROGRAM COORDINATOR & TEACHER
As Program Coordinator and a senior teacher for Lineage Project, Daniela delivers programs in public schools and youth detention centers, and is in charge of collaboratively designing Lineage Project’s training materials and mentorship program for newly hired teachers. Daniela is also a Teacher Trainer for the School Yoga Project, leading professional development trainings for school staff focused on helping them integrate mindfulness and inclusive, trauma-informed practices into classrooms and schools. She has extensive experience teaching trauma-informed mindfulness programs in public schools in Italy and the United States. Daniela’s work in Italy, where she was born and raised, included bringing yoga and arts programs to vulnerable children and families, and working with teen refugees and immigrants in the youth shelter system.
Daniela is a certified yoga teacher through the Himalayan Yoga Institute, and a graduate of an extensive list of teacher trainings focused on children with special needs, early childhood education, and yoga for children and teens, including Street Yoga’s yoga for homeless and at-risk youth, and Karma Kids Teen Yoga. Daniela holds a Masters Degree in Performing Arts from the University of Bologna, Italy.
