Personal Mindfulness Practice: Meditation, Iyengar Yoga, Hot Yoga
Jyll Hubbard-Salk is a yoga teacher, doula, and Thai massage therapist. Seeking to support diversity in the yoga community, she founded Urban Asanas, a studio that caters to every ethnicity, gender, and budget. Jyll has taught yoga in NYC public and private schools, sports clubs, and at the YWCA — an organization dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women. She is a graduate of Jackson State University.
Living with Lyme disease has deepened Jyll’s mindfulness practice, along with her gratitude for life, and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Joining the Lineage Project board is a step on her journey to deliver healing, and to serve her community. As the dynamic owner of a community-based yoga studio, Jyll brings to the board strong community connections, and a deep understanding of the transformative power of community service.
