Empowering young people through Lineage’s programs is the ultimate alignment of Lauren’s academic focus in social justice and her passion for yoga. Lauren assists Lineage with administrative tasks and provides support for Lineage’s arts & mindfulness after-school program at Horizon Juvenile Center (a secure detention facility), where she helps to measure outcomes and has coordinated the creation and publication of a mindfulness activity book for detained youth. She is inspired to work with Lineage to develop the power and resilience of young people, and support them to bring empathy and self-awareness to their relationships and communities.

Outside of Lineage, Lauren teaches yoga classes in a range of venues, including a donation-based LGBTQIA+ class, and facilitates a Womyn's Rejuvenation Circle. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Vassar College, and is enrolled in a Dance/Movement Therapy Certification program at Pratt Institute.
